Come on in guys! Welcome to your next Immunity Challenge. This is going to be a 24-hour post for your life challenge. It will test your timing, commitment, and endurance. Be prepared. Over the next twenty-four hours, starting at 7:00pm (EST), both tribes will hunt for food items & weapons in this very thread. There are six food items up for grabs every hour that will give your tribe XP points, and there are three different times per hour where you can attack the opposing tribe. You are looking to scavenge for food items to increase your tribes XP, and use weapons to attack to decrease the opposing tribe's XP. Each tribe will start out with 0 XP. The first person (regardless of tribe) to post the correct weapon the fastest will receive the food items or attack points.
This challenge is one that will test not only your ability to work as a group, but also self-govern. Twenty-four hours is a massive amount of time to post, so it is important that if your post doesn't count, it must be deleted because production grades the challenge as it progresses (if we are around). We will be liking only the post that is accepted for each time interval. Once twenty-four hours has passed, the thread will be locked and scores will be finalized.
Back to back posting (ie claiming two items in succession) is permitted, but after two successful posts you must wait until someone else from your tribe has claimed a food item or attack before you can post again. You must only post the images outlined below, any other type of posts are forbidden - if we see it, you'll be penalized. Do not try your luck. To see if you are the closest to the minute, hover your mouse over where it says how long ago you posted ( click here for an example) and delete if you aren't the quickest. That being said, here are your food items to scavenge and weapons to attack with! Scavenge Rice at :10 +5 XP to your tribe
Scavenge Water at :20 +10 XP to your tribe
Scavenge Starfruit at :30 +15 XP to your tribe
Scavenge Coconut at :40 +20 XP to your tribe
Bolo Attack at :45 -10 XP to the opposing tribe
Scavenge Coco de mer at :50 +25 XP to your tribe
Spear Attack at :55 -20 XP to the opposing tribe
Scavenge Triggerfish at :00 +30 XP to your tribe
Machete Attack at :05 -30 XP to the to the opposing tribe Now, how this will work in detail, read carefully:
The entire challenge will take place here, below the instructions. Every ten minutes; on the :00 minute, the :10 minute, the :20 minute, the :30 minute, the :40 minute, the :50 minute, six food items will be up for grabs for all competing castaways to claim.
RICE WATER STARFRUIT COCONUT COCO DE MER TRIGGERFISH + 3 ATTACKS - BOLO, SPEAR, MACHETE
The first person (and only the first person) to correctly claim each food item on exactly the :00, :10, :20, :30, :40, :50 minute or closest to will be accepted. After a full minute has passed, you cannot claim the item any longer. To claim a food item or to claim an attack, post the image provided at the correct time. To double-check post times once you and others have posted, locate the timestamp of each post at the top left hand corner. Situate your mouse to hover over the time, and if you do this properly the exact date and time will pop up (including seconds). If you do this to all the posts that were posted for that interval, you can easily find the person who was first to claim.
The one person to post closest to each time gets it.
For attacks that do damage (Bolo, Spear, Machete) you must successfully post the appropriate attack image at :45, :55, and :05 of each hour. Everyone is free to scavenge for food items and attacks.
EXAMPLE
Here’s an overview of how the challenge should play out at each specific time interval;
Gwen posts Coconut image at 9:40:04pm Michael posts Coco de mer image at 9:40:02pm Amanda posts Coconut image at 9:40:01pm Ali posts Machete Attack image at 9:40:00pm Grace types Coconut at 9:41:00pm Dave posts Coco de mer image but the image link is broken at 9:40:00pm
In this case;
Gwen, albeit the post showed up first in sequence and is correct, it's all about the timestamp. (must be deleted) Michael, posted the incorrect food item. (must be deleted) Amanda, correctly posted closest after the :40 mark. (gets the point) Ali, is first according to timestamp, on minute and second, but attacks a tribe during a non-attack interval. (must be deleted) Grace, posted only text and it is late. (must be deleted) Dave, posted incorrectly, the image must load correctly and have no extra text. (must be deleted)
If no one gets it right on the minute and exact second, the claim will go to the person with the next closest time. If Amanda did not post in the example above, the point would go to Gwen. All spam posts must be deleted to avoid -5 penalty on your tribe's XP (which will be tabulated throughout). Also, remember that you only have 60 seconds to claim any food item or attack, if after 60 seconds no one has posted that interval is considered dead.
Be advised that this challenge will involve a fair amount of self-governing, Production may not be around to update the spreadsheet so it is also upon you as a tribe to keep each other on point. It is your responsibility to keep your tribe in check - please help aid Production in ensuring this challenge goes off without a hitch! The goal of this challenge is to be the tribe with the most XP at the end of 24-hours. I'll be seeing the losers at Tribal Council.
